Today in Sports:

7:00 - Varsity Football - Away at Springport - Bus departs at 2:50 by the band room doors - Students dismissed from class at 2:30 - Tech center football players are dismissed at 2:00. Cheer bus departs at 4:00.

MS Students: Just a reminder that there is NO FOOD allowed outside of the cafeteria during lunch time! 

If you are interested in being part of the Blue Crew Leadership Committee, please pick up an application in the office. There are only 3 open spots per grade level, so act quickly. Members of the Blue Crew committee receive free entry to all home games, free food at committee meetings and priority when choosing themes for games. Grab your application today!

Homecoming dance ticket sales will begin Monday, September 14th during high school lunch.  There will be students every other day selling before school as well for those who leave for dual or tech center.  The cost is $15 per ticket.  If there are students who would like to attend but need help covering the cost of the ticket, please see Mrs. Crowley for assistance.  

Today is the deadline to purchase Homecoming t-shirts. Cost is $10 and orders can be placed with your class advisor. Juniors please see Mr. Fletcher this morning to order.

Today is September 11th.

Twenty-five years ago today, on September 11, 2001, terrorists hijacked four passenger airplanes. Two were flown into the World Trade Center towers in New York City, one struck the Pentagon outside Washington, D.C., and a fourth crashed in Pennsylvania after passengers and crew fought back. Nearly 3,000 people lost their lives.

In the middle of that tragedy, we also saw incredible courage as first responders rushed to help, strangers helped strangers, and communities came together.

For all of you, 9/11 happened before you were born. But the adults in our building experienced that day in different ways. Some were already teaching, others were students themselves, some were just babies. For many, September 11 isn't just history—it's a day we remember.

Today, we remember those who lost their lives, honor those who stepped up to help, and remember the importance of taking care of one another.
