4:30 - MS/Varsity Cross Country - Away at Roscommon - Bus departs at 2:00 - Students dismissed at 1:50

5:30 - JV/Varsity Volleyball - Home against McBain

Detention today will be held in Mrs. Davis’ room.  Please be in her room by 3:00 if you have hours to serve. 

Tribal students: Ms. Sue is here today. If you would like to meet with her during lunch, she will be in the library.

Any 7th or 8th grade boys interested in playing basketball this season need to make sure the Athletic Office has a current physical on file. The physical has to be dated on or after April 15th of this year. We will also need a signed athletic consent and a $30 fee paid before you can begin practice. The first practice for 7th grade will be on Monday from 3-5:00 and 8th grade will begin on Wednesday the 23rd at 6:15. See Kelly in the Athletic Office if you have any questions.

It’s pickleball tournament time! NHS is sponsoring a tournament on Sunday, October 20th starting at 10:00. There will be 20 teams of 2 (first come first serve - only 20 teams will be accepted) Cost to enter is $20 per team. The winning team will receive two $20 gift cards to a location of their choice. Best dressed also gets an additional $10 each! Get creative!

All current 8th and 9th grade students and their parents are invited to attend an informational parent meeting regarding the upcoming east coast trip. This meeting will take place on October 30th at 6:00 p.m. in Mr. Carter’s room.  

Middle School Robotics will be meeting from 5-8 pm on Monday and Tuesday for the remainder of the season.

Today in Sports:

5:30 - 7th & 8th Grade Volleyball - Away against NMC

5:30 - Freshmen Volleyball - Home against Alma

Detention today will be held in Ms. Eddy’s room.  Please be in her room by 3:00 if you have hours to serve. 

The cross-country teams competed well on Friday in Montabella.  The top 30 individuals in each race were awarded medals. For the varsity boys, Cole Tilmann was 18th and Logan Funnel was 22nd in his season debut! Brianna Locke was 8th overall for the varsity girls and Nolee Leppert was 21st. On the middle school side, we had three boys bring home medals. Sawyer Trommater was 16th, Jackson Baumann was 23rd, and Ryder Sternquist was 25th. We also had three girls medal:  Olivia Krueger was 15th, Madalyn Finnerty was 12th, and Cylie Tilmann was the race runner-up! The third and final conference meet will be held tomorrow in Roscommon.

Today is Apple Crunch Day! I will be dismissing students at 8:45 to head to the big gym for this event. 

It’s pickleball tournament time! NHS is sponsoring a tournament on Sunday, October 20th starting at 10:00. There will be 20 teams of 2 (first come first serve - only 20 teams will be accepted) Cost to enter is $20 per team. The winning team will receive two $20 gift cards to a location of their choice. 

Our high school student council will be holding a bake sale during the varsity football game this Friday. All proceeds will go to the Smith family!

Parent/teacher conferences will be held today from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the small gym.

All high school students planning on attending the YIG Fall Conference on Nov. 1 need to register online.  The directions are posted in Google Classroom.  Please email or text Mrs. Davis if you have any questions.  Payments will be made at a later date.
