Brian Locke

Brian Locke - Certified Athletic Trainer

            Brian achieved a bachelor’s of science degree and exercise science minor from Central Michigan University in May of 2000.  He gained board certification in June of 2000 earning the national distinction of certified athletic trainer and has also achieved credentialing as a certified strength and conditioning specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association.  He has had just short of eight years of athletic training experience in the high school setting and has been affiliated with several area schools including Pine River, Chippewa Hills, and Houghton Lake High Schools.

For the past four years he has worked for the MidMichigan Health Park in Mt. Pleasant in the rehabilitation department and serving the student athletes of Beal City Schools.  He works a split schedule with his day beginning at the health park providing rehabilitative care and ends providing injury prevention and treatment for athletic injuries in the Beal City Schools.

Brian also serves as a clinical instructor for Central Michigan University by providing practical, hands-on educational experience for their Sports Medicine Students.  These students can be seen working along side Brian providing services to the Beal City student athletes.

His passion for the profession has led him to serve the Michigan Athletic Trainers Society as Employment Chairperson and is also involved in the public relations and governmental affairs committees.
